Track whether low-cost inventory is being absorbed while demand and prices hold up. No single percentage establishes a good entry.
Two percentages. Different meanings.
- Supply sold at least once
- Distinct NFTs with at least one verified, paid sale in the covered sources, divided by lifetime minted supply. Repeat trades do not increase this percentage.
- First sale by mint recipient
- The first observed paid sale of a token was made by its original on-chain mint recipient. This is the stricter measure of direct minter exits. A later sale after a gift or transfer is not classified as a direct minter exit.
- Unsold mint inventory
- NFTs with no observed paid sale that are still held by their original recipient at the same cutoff. Wallet transfers and unobserved private sales limit what can be inferred about cost basis or willingness to sell.
Coverage, delays & revisions
OpenSea collection sales are paginated to completion and merged with CreditStrategy’s on-chain buy/sell events. Every counted sale matches an NFT transfer; a transfer by itself is not a sale. Other private or protocol sales may be missing. Repeated self-sales are excluded, but related-wallet wash trading cannot be ruled out.
Historical absorption uses the final minted-supply denominator at every point, so it measures progress through that fixed supply, including during the mint period. Historical unsold mint inventory is reconstructed at each point from mint recipients, transfers and observed sales. Each chart has an independent range and interval. Medians and unique buyers are calculated from raw trades in that interval. Floor points are the last sampled quote in each bin, without forward filling. Floor quotes start only when this monitor starts; missing periods are not interpolated from trade prices.
Chain and sales target 20-second updates; floor quotes and strategy state target 30 seconds. Requests share conservative local budgets, respect provider cooldowns, and slow automatically on errors. These are target intervals, not guaranteed delivery times or verified account quotas. The browser reads the shared local snapshot every two seconds without extra provider requests. Rolling windows retain a 90-second indexing allowance and stop at the oldest complete source cutoff. Recent blocks are replayed for reorgs. Sale history overlaps three minutes each update, rechecks 30 minutes every five minutes, and reconciles six hours hourly. Delayed indexing outside that coverage can still be missed.
Floor inventory is deduplicated within the first 1,000 cheapest listing records, stopping after the 2% band when possible. Collection bids are the best valid bid in up to 200 returned offers. Quote amounts precede fees and are not guaranteed fills. Dynamic-price bids and unsupported payment currencies are excluded.
USD conversion
USD values convert ETH/WETH using the latest collected Coinbase ETH/USD spot rate, not the exchange rate at the historical trade time. The rate is checked every 60 seconds. Conversion is unavailable after ten minutes without a valid quote.
